...wow that was subtle. So... I'm trying something new here. And hoping it will work/I'm not going to regret typing any of this. The concept came form a discussion about a fanfic where Cloud and Aeris slept with each other at some point in the game canon, and how this was handled afterwards felt distinctly off - for both of the characters. So, there was then a discussion of if it was possible to integrate Cloud and Aeris having a sexual relationship into the game canon (which I've been calling 'canon-splicing'), how it would work, when they would have the opportunities, why they're having this kind of relationship and ultimately how they feel about each other.
For this the official timeline has been thoroughly discarded (though I tend to do that as a matter of course as it's really restrictive and feels way too fast), Crisis Core and Before Crisis are being ignored. Each chapter is currently intended to be split between Aeris and Cloud's perspectives; and in this one first Cloud, then Aeris.

And now the time slows down a fair bit, since this turned into more of a novelisation then originally intended (so a good chunk of this will be very familiar given I'm not derailing canon very much just yet. Fair number of changed details though). I've made some changes to the first two chapters, but decided not to post those at the moment as they were just going to make these posts increasingly huge (though I think I could get away with it character-limit wise); but Aeris now longer burns Ifalna's body at the end of chapter 1 and there is a sequence in chapter 2 of how she was inspired to be a fire dancer due to another performer she saw years previously.

raaj told me of some amusing head-canon a while back for Reno; that he learned Wutainese from watching Wutai soap-operas. And this grew out from that idea over numerous conversations, how Reno found the program, and how the other Turks end up getting drawn into the madness. This is ultimately going to be in three sections to canon-splice into both Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children (this is much later). Currently there are some obvious place-holder names in the fic which will be corrected both in the next fic (when Reno learns the correct character names) and if its a reference too far...( Wutai Soap Opera )
Finally! After months after the idea was mooted (after some amusing discussion with raaj) here is a short fic about Cid just after Yuffie has returned everything she stole. And I'm not sure on this - I kind of feel it should go on a bit further, but at the same time, it felt a naturally stopping point. Warnings for language for a change, as this *is* Cid afterall.

This... took longer to get back to then it was supposed to. But here is a newly revised chapter 1 (with some changes on the escape from Shinra resulting from discussion with raaj and an expanded ending... which I'm not entirely sure if I should keep) and a finished chapter 2.
