First up apologies of my replies have been especially meandering or rushed, or just reading weird; I realised I was letting myself get seriously dehydrated over the weekend and my concentration basically degenerated to nothing.
Back to this!
Hmm... I'll rework Aeris' reaction to outside. Yeah it is not quite ringing true. I think I was trying to go for combination of novelty of being outside with fading adrenaline and panic from the escape and Ifalna being seriously in trouble... but it really isn't going right.
Oh... Train Conductor Man. I forgot he was there... And having rechecked some cut-scenes, he is a little confusing ultimately. For Elmyra meeting Aeris, he's stood unmoving next to the train (and interestingly there's another train behind the one in the station) and basically just watching Ifalna slumped on the steps. Elmyra walks over and they have their brief conversation. However, in the flashback of Tifa meeting Cloud (which incidentally places the station on a plate divide as it's raining in this scene) Train Conductor Man is asking if Cloud's all right, before walking away and leaving him with Tifa. Sooo... maybe with Ifalna he was panicked with indecision at how to deal with the situation and was relieved when Elmyra dealt with it, but that moment of indecision and that he might have been able to do something for mother and daughter stays with him ever after, so when he next seems someone in trouble he checks on them.
Tangent! But yes, I'd concur that I can see him arranging for her body to be collected (and her ultimate fate is unknown. I do wonder if Shinra recovered Ifalna's body. They know she's dead at least, but its whether Hojo would have uses for her (...more then likely knowing him. Actually wondering now if Ifalna post-death would reinforce how different Jenova is. Not just in terms of cellular detail, but that Jenova seems to be coping fine having being buried for 2000 years, whereas Ifalna is showing zero signs of life)).
I think after a Mako reactor explosion, everyone would get out of the area (I think Aeris would be content with having sold anything *after* the explosion to not want to hang around. Plus it is coming up to midnight, and while I think Midgar is active all night, its still going to be reasonably dead in the early hours of the morning).
...yeah this is the first time I've hit on the how/why of the career path - and yeah almost certainly as its had so much discussion for the later divergence points/fun with Aeris setting fire to things. But yes, definitely would help for other readers to understand more about why she does this then grow flowers (off the top of my head, I think she pretty much has to see another fire dancer in the streets somewhere and just falls in love with the idea of something that uses fire all the time (outside of something weird and unusable like working in a crematorium)).
Oh! I like that idea of Zack enthusing to Cloud about her cool shows, and he won't be able to stay out of it when he sees what she can do. And heh - Zack certain he's almosy puzzled out how she does it. He thinks. And then he derails into some other aspect of Midgar that he's missed and he reckons Cloud would love to try.
Ah, another costume change for Aeris. Definitely not opposed, and really that makes sense for her to have a performance costume, and her everyday clothes. So default VII costume for non-performances (and when she meets Cloud in the church) and something more slinky and sensual (not entirely dissimilar to the dress she'll later choose in Wall Market) (and now I have the idea of her hastily changing in public toilets after travelling up to the upper plates in her pink dress) - and yeah the feeds better into the snide-remark idea (also freedom of movement which she's going to need).
Oh! I love that idea that Corneo likes big flashy displays and has tried very, very hard to recruit her as his own personal and more visually stunning dancer (and all too easy to see him connecting getting her as an attraction for his business eventually leading to his own personal entertainment). So... I do like that as a different conversation on the door; the infamous fire dancer is conceding to Corneo's wishes and wants to meet up with him... Except once inside she's going to insist that her two companions join her for her more private interview... and having forgotten about anything involving his cover story, Corneo's way too excited that not only has she willingly come to him, she's also wanting to get into bed with two other girls and him. Could his day get any better? Well, he'll change his tune once threatened with fire related castration and his whole mansions on fire...

I like it. Thank you!
